Hi, and welcome to my wiki.
The general idea here is to get some table-top role-playing game design ideas out there for play-testers.
What I eventually would like is for most of this to be part of the ogl.
As all rpgs are modular, I want to try some ideas for handling these modules. My first is the Super-Fantasy Powers Module. It works with the d20 System and introduces (I hope) a well-balanced system for running superheroes or meta-humans.
It's weakness is that it assumes a vitality point system not a hit point system for damage resolution. This is uber-simple to convert: vp become hp, and wound points are ignored. (For a clearer understanding of vitality points and wound points see Vitailty Points and Wound Points.
Occasionally Psyche Points might also be listed, but you can convert these to hp or vp as well.
I developed this because, while I love Mutants & Masterminds and Blood and Vigilance, I wanted a game with a different feel than they allowed me at the time. I also wanted something original that I could use in my own works. I certainly learned a lot from those two games. If interested, please check out the power system module.
To complement the power system module, I developed a magic system module, with some great help from Tony, and some of the wonderful folks at the Forge. The idea is a verisitle magic system that can go toe-to-toe with super-powers.
There are some supplementary rules necessary for some powers. The wealth module and super-crafting module are needed for the Scientific Wonder power. It can be converted to the standard d20 wealth system, though, I think. I'll try to include a conversion system.
I also have an alternative, and I think more realistic, saving throw module. It's kinda crunchy, but very cinematic.
There's also a social mechanics module I'm working on for the d20 system. Two actually, and I don't know which I prefer. Ones very sleek and simple, but the other requires a little sophistication.
